What Does Hypnosis Do?

Unlike the common notion that hypnosis is controlled by the hypnotherapist, hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis.  It depends on the individual’s mind power and mental flexibility.  People must put in mind that the hypnotherapist is only a guide – the individual is the one who has the decision whether he or she will allow himself or herself to enter a hypnotic state.

An individual’s level of willingness, motivation and belief are the three major factors that would determine whether he or she will enter the hypnotic state or not.  Hypotizability cannot be controlled by the hypnotherapist.
